About The Publisher: Emily Emerson

Hi there, families!    I'm Emily, your new Macaroni KID publisher for Morgantown, Ephrata, Akron, New Holland, and all the wonderful places in between! Some of you might recognize me from the Macaroni KID Reading site, but if we haven’t met yet, I’m thrilled to have you here!

A little bit about me: I’m a stay-at-home mom proud to call Sinking Spring my home. My husband runs a local business in Sinking Spring, so we often find ourselves hopping between Reading and Lancaster County. Before I embraced the role of a full-time mom, I spent a decade as a special education teacher. While I miss the classroom, becoming a Macaroni KID publisher has opened up fantastic opportunities for me to engage with our community, support families with special needs, and help amazing local businesses reach out to families at an affordable price. Plus, it gives me a wonderful creative outlet!

What’s my mission as your publisher? Simply put, I want to make your parenting journey a bit easier. Balancing family life, work, and everything else can feel overwhelming! Finding fun activities and events in our community shouldn’t add to that stress. When you follow Macaroni KID Morgantown-Ephrata-Akron-New Holland, you’ll have a handy hub for all things family fun—think holiday events, local businesses, community happenings, summer camp guides, childcare info, and so much more!
