A "Dutch-Wonderful" Day Trip

See How My Family Enjoyed Dutch Wonderland

By Stephanie Grick, Morgantown Macaroni Kid PM June 27, 2018

If you have multiple kids that range in age, you know that it’s tough to find a place to go where each kid can have a great time.  There are places where the oldest may enjoy a plethora of rides while the younger kids just sit back and watch (discontentedly, might I add) OR the other places where the toddlers are having the time of their life and the older kids are complaining that everything is for “babies.”  Is there actually a place that kids of all ages (and their parents) can enjoy?

Look no further worried parents, Dutch Wonderland is the solution to all (ok, maybe not all) parenting woes!  My family includes an almost 2 year old, a 4 year old and a 6(.5) year old.  We also had the pleasure to enjoy this day with my sister-in-law (also a MK Publisher!), her husband and my 6 nieces and nephews ranging in age from 11 months to 11 years.  Their interests and abilities are vastly different from one another, but let me tell you, Dutch Wonderland had each one enjoying themselves.

We were at the park ALL day from 10 am until 5 pm and we still did not go on everything, even though the lines were basically non-existent on this particular day that was threatening rain. My son’s favorite ride was the Wonder Whip, he was hysterically laughing each time it whipped around, it was the best thing to see.  My 4 year old claims her favorite ride was the Turtle Whirl,  however her terrified face BOTH times she went on it says something different.  My oldest daughter LOVED the newest roller coaster called Merlin’s Mayhem, I lost count of how many times she went on that one.  It was a great starter roller coaster for kids that was still thrilling enough for me to enjoy as well (I’m a total roller coaster junkie).

Overall, our experience was incredible at Dutch Wonderland.  Not only was it family friendly, you could pack your lunch and eat in their picnic area to save some money, and it was only 25 minutes from my house.  It was a great family fun day that isn't too far and that everyone enjoyed.  Try it for yourself, you can even use the discount code summerblog18 for a discount on your tickets, how cool is that!?  So head on over to https://www.dutchwonderland.com and get your trip to Dutch Wonderland on your calendar!
