May Events at the ELANCO Library
The Eastern Lancaster County Library is located at 11 Chestnut Drive, New Holland, PA. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. Most events are free, but require advance registration. Parachute Play
Wednesday, May 1 at 10:30 a.m.
For walking toddlers, ages 1-3
Not your typical storytime! We will be playing with parachutes, singing songs, and having fun! Parachute Play helps children develop gross motor skills, learn to work together, have imaginative play, develop spatial awareness and express themselves.
Preschool Lab: A STEM Storytime
Thursday, May 2 at 10:30 a.m.
For Ages 3-6
We will tinker and play while we learn about different STEM topics. Every program will start with a few books and end with an activity, such as games, crafts, or even toys.

Friday Frolic for Toddlers

Get ready to move! Toddlers will dance, zoom, scoot and hop between stories selected to promote language development. All adults are expected to participate and encourage the children to join in the fun.

Explore to Learn: Electricity

To accompany the reading of this Seuss classic we will bring stereoscopes and microscopes to examine everyday objects at magnification that reveals startling detail and look for microscopic life that abounds in the waters of Lancaster County.

Spotted Lanternfly Information Session with Tyler Haggerty

As this invasive species of insect has made its way into Lancaster County, it’s time to talk about the facts. Tyler Hagerty, a graduate student at The University of Delaware whose main focus is the Spotted Lanternfly, will be joining us at the library to discuss and answer questions about this new pest.
