Christmas on Main 2019

A Day Full of Christmas Cheer in New Holland!

Christmas on Main is a wonderful town-wide event that kicks off the Christmas season!  A day that is packed full of FREE events for everyone in the whole family to enjoy all around New Holland!  Check out a full schedule below:

Event Schedule – Saturday, December 7, 2019

8 am – 11 am
Children’s Breakfast on Main at St. Stephen Reformed Church | 249 East Main Street
Children & families are invited. A live nativity & a take-home craft will be featured. Place food items for CrossNet Food Programs by manger.

8 am – 4 pm
Serrano’s Barger Lounge | 127 East Main Street
Will be hosting their open house & serving light refreshments. Register to win a free haircut and hair products.

8 am – 6 pm
Meadow Creek Barbecue Supply | 140 West Main Street
Purchase $25 of merchandise in the store & be entered into a drawing to win an Igloo Super Touch 165 Qt. Ice Chest. Food Sale from 11am - 6pm.

8 am – 12 pm
Joe’s Barber Shop | 100 South Railroad Avenue
Free kids haircuts and toy giveaway along with light refreshments.

9 am – 12 pm
Orrstown Bank | 301 West Main Street
Participate in a Scavenger Hunt, with a donation to CrossNet Ministries Food Pantry, you’ll receive a clue card. Return to the office with all the puzzle pieces & you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a gift basket. Visit elancocross.org for list of needed items.

9 am – 2 pm
Toys for Tots Collection at Northwest Bank | 201 West Main Street
Donate to this worthy cause. Stop in for hot chocolate & cookies. No-bake Christmas treats with Garden Spot Village Food Service, 1-2pm.

9 am – 4 pm
Serrano’s Serenity Spa | 129 East Main Street
Will be hosting their open house & serving light refreshments. Register to win a free haircut and hair products.

9 am – 5:30 pm
Fix My Computer Please | 205 East Main Street
Will be open. Register to win a laptop.

Hicks’ Clock Shoppe | 215 East Main Street
Will be open. Register to win a wall clock.

New Holland Area Historical Society Museum | 207 East Main Street
Will be open with guided tours. Enjoy traditional decorations of Christ-mases past. Santa will visit with children from 10pm - noon.

10 am – 2 pm
Stauffer’s Drug Store | 149 East Main Street
Christian Fellowship Church will offer free Jesus crosses, gospel wristbands & candy-filled mugs.

10 am – 3 pm
Lickity Split | 209 East Main Street
Visit the Maker’s Market at Lickity Split in their restored 1868 jail-side basement area. Purchase locally made items for your gift-giving needs. Photo opportunity in the authentic lock-up. Free raffles at each vendor.
 
10 am – 4 pm
ELANCO Library | 11 Chestnut Drive
Friends of the Library Holiday Book Sale, new & like new books – perfect for gifts. Light Refreshments. Enjoy Christmas carols & homemade items created by Lighthouse Vocational Services men & women from 10am to Noon in the Main Library.
 
10 am – 6 pm
The Christmas Market Inside the Farmer’s Fair building at the corner of S. Roberts Ave & Franklin Street. Local vendors selling a variety of items including gifts, Christmas decorations & food for your holiday entertaining.

11 am
New Holland Methodist Church | 209 East Main Street
The Children’s Talent Show will be performed.

11 am – 6 pm
Food Vendors | South Roberts Avenue, Featuring:
The New Holland Lions Club will be selling delicious ham sandwiches.
Cub Scouts Pack 148 will be selling soup and chili.

The Boy Scouts will be selling hot dogs.

12 – 5 pm
Marty’s Flea Circus, sponsored by Theraflex Massage will perform at 1 and 3pm behind the Edward Jones Building on East Main Street.  Register to win a free massage. Enjoy bagpiper, Walter Hamilton from 2pm-3pm.

Mrs. Santa visits the Christmas Market in the Farm Show building to read to children.

Will be open with hot chocolate, gingerbread games, crafts & ginger-bread decorating for parents & young children.

Car Show enjoy the car show on the North side of Roberts Avenue.

Come hear the Christmas Story told by First Baptist Church of New Holland. The Christmas Story will be read every 15 minutes. Receive a free gift for visiting.

1:30 – 2 pm
LancCo Performing Arts will perform a dance routine at the corner of North Roberts Avenue and Main Street.

1:30 – 4 pm
Garden Spot Village Train Room Open House | Garden Spot Village, 433 South Kinzer Avenue
Enjoy model train layouts, talking Thomas the Tank Engine and more.

2 – 3 pm
Enjoy festive music from Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, at the corner of Railroad & East Main Street.          

2 – 4 pm
Display of New Holland Ambulance Equipment at their building on South Roberts Avenue.

M&T Bank | 210 East Main Street
Stop in for an ugly Christmas sweater party. Kids can make their own Christmas ornament, listen to holiday music and enjoy delicious treats. ELANCO Library will be on site with their button machine.

Children’s crafts for all kids.

Spanish Mennonite Church | 24 North Roberts Avenue
There will be children’s crafts, coffee & hot chocolate. The New Holland Early Learning Center will be there with cookie decorating for all.

Trinity Lutheran Church | 221 East Main Street
Celebrate the birth of Christ within all ages, family friendly open house. Enjoy refreshments while listening to Christmas favorites from the handbell choir. See Nativity scenes from around the world and take along a treat to remind you of God’s sweet love for us all.

2 – 6 pm
Optometric Associates | 117 West Main Street
Meet their lovely staff while enjoying refreshments. Enter to win a pair of RayBan sunglasses. Stop by their annual Christmas Photo Booth hosted by J. Eldron Zimmerman Photography. Giveaway for kids!

3 – 5 pm

Will be open. Register to win poinsettias. Face painting by the Kiwanis Club of New Holland.

2 – 6 pm

Will be open with a drawing to win a seasonal gift basket. Register up until 5:30 pm. You do not need to be present to win.

Santa’s Arrival (with a little help from Garden Spot Fire Rescue) at the corner of North Roberts Ave & Main Street. Santa’s House provided by Stoltzfus Woodworking.

Garden Spot Dental Care | 101 West Main Street
Invites you to stop by and warm up with hot chocolate. Enter to win a gift basket. Take your picture with Santa’s Christmas dogs.

3 – 6 pm
Carriage Rides leaving from the corner of Roberts Avenue and Main Street and Meadow Creek Barbeque Supply, 140 West Main Street. Carriage rides are one way only, plan to stroll back through town or wait for the next car-riage.

Stop by the ELANCO Republican Committee table next to Santa’s house to sign Christmas cards that will be sent to the vets at the Lebanon VA Hospital.

3 – 6 pm
Petra Christian Fellowship will bring their children’s barrel train ride to Christmas on Main at the south end of Roberts Avenue near the Christmas Market.

4 – 5 pm
Music on Main Brass Students will perform as they stroll along Main Street.

4 – 6 pm
Loeffler-Pitt Dental Associates | 100 East Main Street
Enjoy and old fashioned Christmas. Stop in for cookies & hot cocoa. ELANCO Library Volunteers will be reading Christmas stories by the fire.

Hay Rides provided by New Holland NA leaving from the corner of Roberts Avenue and Market Street.

4 – 6 pm
Stop by Refuge Calvary Chapel, 33 South Railroad Avenue, to warm up by a campfire and roast hot dogs.  Listen to live music and hear the Christmas story.

Garden Spot Fire Rescue will display their trucks on North Roberts Avenue (Giveaways).

Edward Jones Investments | 201 East Main Street
Will be hosting a Hot Choco-late buffet. Also sponsoring music performance from 3-5 PM by Banjo, Ukulele & vocalist, John Dolan will sing nostalgic music.

4:30 – 6 pm
View a Live Nativity presented by Lighthouse Assembly of God at Smoker Gard Associates, 121 E. Main Street. Stable provided by Lapp Structures.

5 pm
New Holland United Methodist Church | 120 West Main Street
Enjoy a performance by their bell choir.

5 – 6 pm
New Holland Band Brass Ensemble & Friends (Garden Spot High School Musicians) will be performing along Main Street.

5 – 6 pm
Mr. Sneakers will entertain with magic and balloon art at the corner of North Roberts Avenue and Main Street.

5:30 pm
New Holland United Methodist Church | 120 West Main Street
End the evening with a Christmas Tea.
