Our Early Christmas Gift!

A Note From Your Publisher

By Stephanie Grick, Morgantown Macaroni Kid Publisher December 13, 2019

My family had our biggest and best Christmas present come early this year! Baby number 4 was due on December 11th but decided to make her appearance a few days early on Friday, December 6th at 9:25 pm.  There are many things that are "funny" about her coming on this date.  The first one is that there is a large church banquet that I help to organize and run each year and it was on December 6th this year.  So from the beginning of me knowing I was pregnant and finding out the due date, a group of us joked around that I was going to have the baby that day because it would be the most inconvenient time to have her. The second thing is that having her on December 6th would make her my husband's birthday buddy, meaning they shared the same number (not month) on their birthday.  See each person in my family has a birthday buddy.  My son is on the 22 of August and I am on the 22nd of May.  My oldest daughter is on the 25th of September and my middle daughter is on the 25th of May. My husband is on the 6th of March and our newest addition is the 6th of December.  That may sound silly to you but to us, it was just so funny!  We all now have birthday buddies!

So, even though she came on the most "inconvenient" day possible, I was able to make it to the beginning of the banquet and made sure it was all good to go before needing to leave that and head to the birth center.  The plus is, this was the first time I was in labor wearing a dress, heels and had my hair and makeup done

With that all being said, I am working to get the calendar for the month up to date and have all the great events for you and your family to enjoy!  There are a TON of fun, free, local events going on this weekend, so make sure you check out the calendar! As always, if you have a great event coming up that you want others to know about or you know of one that hasn't been yet added to the calendar, you can submit the event here.

While I am still home *trying* to take it easy on my postpartum body, enjoy all the great events for me and tag @mackidmorgantown on Facebook or Instagram so I can see all the fun you are having :)

Meanwhile, I will be home snuggling my sweet little Lydia Joy 🥰

Have a great, family-fun filled week!
