A Note From Your Publisher

By Stephanie Grick, Morgantown Macaroni Kid Publisher January 10, 2020

Hey there Macaroni Kid families!

I hope your first full week of 2020 has been going well!  Did you make some goals for the new year? How have you been doing so far?

I know this time of year can be difficult for families.  There's the struggle of being stuck in the house because the weather is too cold or too windy (although, lately it's been so warm, am I right?), but then not wanting to go to many indoor public places due to the winter germs being at an all-time high!  What's a parent to do to prevent themselves and their kids from going crazy?!

Something we've been doing lately is listening to a lot of audiobooks.  It's a great way for us to calm down and relax in the afternoon (with our cups of hot chocolate or tea) and then it creates some interesting things for us to talk about during dinner time.  There's a great article this week about a reading challenge that you can do!  Find some new picture books, grab an audiobook, our libraries are full of such great reads for your whole family to enjoy!

Make sure you follow us on facebook and instagram so you can find out about great local businesses, new products, and local things to do!  Right now if you head there you will see some posts about a great kid's probiotic available at our local walmarts (review article to come next week!), a local, small business, ran by two bubbly ladies who make some awesome shirts, plus some other great things.  Don't miss out!

What's your favorite thing to do in the winter? Let me know! Email me here: stephaniegrick@macaronikid.com

Know of a great event coming up...submit them here!

Have a wonderful, family-fun filled week!
