Get FREE Museum Passes at the Library

By Stephanie Grick, Morgantown Macaroni Kid Publisher January 30, 2020

Our local libraries are great, and if you don't know that already, you have to check them out!  Not only do they offer countless classes, events, and activities for adults and children alike, they also give us access to thousands of books AND FREE museum passes!  This is a great perk to our local library system that many don't know about!  Just recently the Lancaster County Library System added on another great museum--The Hands-On-House, to their already great list of museum passes.

These passes are good for one week and they get a family of 4 access (only one time during that week) to the museum for FREE!  This is a great way to "test out" a museum to see if you may want to get a membership, or if maybe a membership isn't in the budget right now, just to go and visit.  Some of the museums are very popular so you will be put on a waitlist but it makes it really exciting when your turn comes up to use it!

Check out the list below for the museums that the Lancaster County Library System offers to you:

The North Museum of Natural History & Science

The National Watch and Clock Museum

Landis Valley Village and Farm Museum

National Toy Train Museum

Ephrata Cloister

1719 Hans Herr House & Museum

Hands-on House

Lancaster Science Factory

Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania

LancasterHistory– includes President James Buchanan’s Wheatland
